Train the TrainersAny centres that offer the City & Guilds Certificate in Energy Efficiency for Domestic Heating (6084) must use tutors that have completed the Skills for Business Network's 'Train the Trainers' programme, before delivery of the training to candidates. This is a requirement of funding by the Learning & Skills Council in England (and funding bodies in other nations as funding becomes available). The funding for Train the Trainers provision has now been used and future training will be on a full cost basis related to demand. Please visit our course information page for more information on forthcoming Train the Trainer courses. If you need to book a course, email kim.smith@summitskills.org.uk and indicate the names of trainers that require places. All trainers need to hold a Train the Trainers certificate issued by the Skills for Business Network and be registered on the central Skills for Business register of trainers. Alternative certification bodiesAlternative certification bodies will require all trainers and assessors to have undertaken similar Train the Trainer programmes relating to their certificates. These organisations will carry out the training and in the same way will accept training carried out to comply with City & Guilds requirements as equal. For further information contact the relevant certification body or contact rob.wellman@summitskills.org.uk |
