Why do you need the energy efficiency qualification?
The changes to Part L of the Building Regulations, which came into effect in April 2005, mean that gas boilers fitted in both new and existing dwellings should be high efficiency condensing boilers. They should be installed by a 'competent person' registered with a regulatory body or signed off by the building control department of the local authority.

By completing the Energy Efficiency in Domestic Heating certificate, you will be able to understand the relationship between energy use and climate change, the changes to the regulations and how it impacts on day to day business. You will also automatically be registered as a 'competent person'* on the Skills for Business register of competent persons (see below for more information).

Over 61,000 have already undergone the training and now have the business advantage over those without.

* Achieving the Energy Efficiency in Domestic Heating Certificate will allow you to become registered as a competent person for Part L of the Building Regulations. It does not accredit installers as a competent person for the requirements of Part P of the Building Regulations.
